Advancement Committee

 

Committee Charge

  • Facilitate interaction between the deans and the advancement professionals
  • Raise awareness of the importance of advancement activities to the future of the colleges
  • Improve fundraising, alumni relations, and public relations activities in the colleges
  • Facilitate/coordinate advancement activities of all colleges and facilitate advancement activities of the AAVMC

 

Role of the Advancement Committee in AAVMC

  • Provide advice and counsel to the AAVMC Board of Directors
  • Connect AVAP with AAVMC
  • Provide a source of advancement expertise if required by the AAVMC Board of Directors
  • Facilitate development of coordinated communications, public relations and government relations strategies across the colleges, i.e. development of common messages
  • Lower the potential for conflict with collegiate efforts
