Brandon Meyers

Liaison Representing SAVMA (non-voting)

Brandon Meyers is a second-year veterinary student at the University of Glasgow School of Veterinary Medicine (SVM). He serves as a University of Glasgow SVM Delegate to the Student American Veterinary Medical Association (SAVMA) House of Delegates as well as his school’s SAVMA chapter president-elect.

He earned a BS in animal sciences from Purdue University in 2014. Prior to attending veterinary school, he pursued graduate education in meat science with a focus on post-harvest beef meat quality characteristics. While in graduate school, he taught undergraduate classes while conducting research and assisting with extension activities.

Prior to the completion of his graduate education, he changed paths to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. His educational interests lie primarily in livestock production medicine along with a special interest in regulatory and public health veterinary medicine.
