Committee Charge

The committee is charged to:

1) Provide recommendations and advice to the AAVMC Board of Directors

    regarding:

a) International programs in veterinary medical education, including programs that foster student and faculty exchanges;

b) AAVMC memberships and partnerships with other organizations and agencies;

c) Further development and operation of the AAVMC Global Initiatives in Veterinary Education (GIVE) program;

d) Changes to the Charge to the Committee.

2) Develop program content and recommend speakers on subjects related to

    international veterinary medical education for meetings of the committee at

    the Annual and/or Summer Meetings of the AAVMC, in consultation with the

    Program Committee and AAVMC staff;

3) Maintain active communication with AAVMC staff liaison to the committee;

4) Submit an annual report of committee activities to the Board of Directors at

    the AAVMC Annual Meeting. 

    

     The AAVMC International Affairs Committee encourages AAVMC member

     institution faculty members to share their international teaching and other

     educational materials with faculty members of other AAVMC member institutions.
