Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges (AAVMC)
The Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges (AAVMC) coordinates the national and international affairs of all 29 colleges of veterinary medicine in the United States, 9 departments of veterinary science, 9 departments of comparative medicine, 3 other veterinary medical educational institutions, and internationally, all 5 veterinary colleges in Canada, 11 international colleges of veterinary medicine in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, the Netherlands and New Zealand, and two affiliate colleges of veterinary medicine. The AAVMC fosters the teaching, research and service activities of its members, both nationally and internationally. The AAVMC's mission is to provide leadership for and promote excellence in academic veterinary medicine to prepare the veterinary workforce with the scientific knowledge and skills required to meet societal needs through the protection of animal resources, the promotion of public health, and the advancement of medical knowledge.

Veterinary Medical School Admission Requirements Book (VMSAR)
VMSAR is a publication containing the admission requirements and contact information for all of the AAVMC member colleges. VMSAR also provides statistical data on numbers of applications and matriculates, and specific information on the slots available at each college. The AAVMC does not sell this book directly.
