Meet practicing veterinarians and learn about diverse and exciting veterinary medical career opportunities at a Veterinary Medical Career Fair and Information Session on Sunday, March 16 from 2:30 – 5 p.m., at the Westin Alexandria Hotel, 400 Courthouse Square, in Alexandria, Virginia.
This premier veterinary medical career fair, sponsored by the Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges (AAVMC), provides valuable information for junior-high, high-school and undergraduate students who are interested in pursuing veterinary medical careers. The career fair will feature information sessions tailored for both junior-high and high-school students who are beginning to consider careers in veterinary medicine and for undergraduate students who want information about applying to colleges of veterinary medicine.
Representatives from national and international colleges of veterinary medicine will be on hand to offer advice and answer questions about veterinary medical careers, which can range from companion animal care to military veterinary medicine, shelter practice, or other areas such as public health medicine.
The Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges (AAVMC) is a nonprofit membership organization working to protect and improve the health and welfare of animals, people and the environment by advancing academic veterinary medicine.
