VMCAS 2007 has come to an end!
VMCAS 2007 has completed another year of application processing. Presently we are working hard on updating our website with admissions details for the entering class of 2008. Updated school information will be available in early March, 2007. This will include the 2008 VMCAS evaluation form. However, for those of you who are eager to get a head start on the application process, you can start identifying evaluators that will write evaluation letters on your behalf. Please encourage your evaluators to use eLOR, our easy-to-use and efficient online system for evaluation letters. Additionally, please continue talking to your advisors to ensure that you have met all the necessary requirements to apply to your veterinary school(s) of choice.
Below are some key items that you should be aware of:
Applicant Survey- We want to hear from you!
VMCAS will email applicants who created an account this past season a Customer Satisfaction Survey. This is a confidential survey that will only take a few minutes to complete. Your feedback is invaluable to our continued effort in keeping the VMCAS application the best that it can be. If your email is still valid, please expect to see the survey link very, very soon. If you have changed or deleted your email but want to be included in the mass email, please send your current email address to vmcas@aavmc.org The subject line should read: Applicant Survey Inclusion.
The 2008 VMCAS Application will launch in late May/early June, 2007.
Application Testing- Help us validate the 2008 application.
Every year, before we launch the application, we enlist the help of applicants from the previous season to help test and provide feedback on the application. Again, we will use the email you registered with when you created your account last year. If it has changed, please send an email to vmcas@aavmc.org The subject line should read: Application Testing. Our goal is to begin testing in April, 2007. Testing instructions will be sent at that time.
Veterinary Medical School Admission Requirements (VMSAR)
The 2007 VMSAR publication for 2008 matriculation will be available in mid May, 2007. The VMSAR provides admissions information for all schools of veterinary medicine in the United States, and AVMA accredited international schools. Updated details will be provided at www.aavmc.org
Please remember that the Student & Advisor Hotline is still available Monday – Friday from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm ET to answer your questions. Please either contact us by email at vmcas@aavmc.org or at our toll-free number at 877-862-2740.
At this time, VMCAS wishes you the best in all of your endeavors.
Best regards,
