Oregon State University is located in Corvallis, the heart of the Willamette Valley. Our climate is mild year-round, with ocean beaches less than an hour drive to the west and some of the best snow skiing in the Cascade Range a little over two hours to the east. Major metropolitan attractions can be found less than two hours away in Eugene, Salem and Portland. Corvallis has a population of approximately 55,000 and is a beautiful and friendly place to live and pursue your education.

The Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine "has one of the smallest class sizes of the DVM programs in the U.S., admitting just 72 students per year." Hands-on education is an important aspect to how our students learn and develop their knowledge of the profession. Our partnership with the Oregon Humane Society provides an opportunity for students to continue acquiring skills and confidence in their ability to perform as professionals. Students at OSU work in state-of-the art facilities alongside our world-class faculty, including specialists in cardiology, oncology, imaging, and rehabilitation. The individual attention our students get from faculty and hospital staff is, in part, why year after year nearly 100% percent of our students pass their board exams.
