AAVMC Reopens Chief Executive Officer Search

WASHINGTON, DC (May 29, 2025) — The American Association of Veterinary Medical Colleges (AAVMC) reopened an international search for a new chief executive officer (CEO).

“We are deeply committed to finding the right individual to lead our organization into the future,” said AAVMC President and Board Chair Dr. Bonnie Rush. “This is a pivotal moment for our association. Member institutions are facing unprecedented challenges. We will identify a leader who brings vision and a strong sense of collaboration to support our member institutions as we embark on the future of academic veterinary medicine.”

AAVMC has retained the firm of Sterling Martin to assist with the search for the new CEO. Inquiries should be directed to David Martin, CEO and Founder.

In the meantime, Dorothy Gray will continue as Interim CEO and Chief Operating Officer.
