Bonnie R. Rush

Bonnie Rush has served as a hospital clinician, classroom educator, researcher, clinical sciences department head, and director of a teaching hospital. She is currently Dean of the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and a Diplomate of the American College of Large Animal Internal Medicine. She has authored more than 110 journal articles, 30 book chapters, and one textbook.

She has been awarded the 1996 and 2003 Carl J. Norden Distinguished Teacher Award, the 2002 Pfizer Award for Research Excellence, and the 2004 Outstanding Woman Veterinarian of the Year. She received the Presidential Award for Meritorious Service from the American Association of Veterinary Medical Colleges for her service towards Competency-Based Veterinary Education and is listed in the top 1 percent of published authors worldwide in Veterinary Education 2013-2023.
