Megan Woods

Megan Woods brings nearly two decades of experience in associations for higher education in health care to her work as Associate Director for Application Services. In this role, she is responsible for the Veterinary Medical College Application Service (VMCAS). She is passionate about process improvement and community building.

Prior to coming to the AAVMC, Megan spent seven years directing the Communication Sciences and Disorders Centralized Application Service for the fields of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. She also worked for nine years at the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association, managing the academic accreditation technology systems for university programs in these fields.

Woods has a BA in Sociology from Whitman College and an MA in Educational Technology and Learning Design from San Diego State University. She is a member of the American Society of Association Executives and earned her Certified Association Executive designation in 2024.

She lives in Portland, Oregon, and enjoys outdoor adventures with her best pal, a freckle-faced mixed-breed dog named Biscuit.
