Monique Pierce serves as Associate Director for Professional Development at AAVMC. In this role, she’s responsible for managing and coordinating AAVMC’s professional development programs and products. She also is responsible for designing instructional content and implementing programs and initiatives related to professional development activities and serves as project manager/staff liaison on learning related projects and volunteer entities consistent with the Association’s strategic goals.
Pierce has a diverse background in learning and engagement, ranging from learning management system development and instructional design. Over the course of her career, she has gained experience in a variety of environments, including R1 research institutions and the House of Representatives. She holds a M.Ed. in Instructional and Learning Design Technology from the University of Texas at Arlington. Outside of work, she enjoys reading biographies, discovering new coffee shops, and spending quality time with friends and family. She is a dedicated dog parent to Millie, a beloved Puggle.
