On this episode of the pod, Jodi Boyd (CSU), Ryane Englar (UAZ), and William Gilles (private practitioner) stop by to discuss the “Gold Standard.” With numerous efforts to expand access to veterinary care globally, there is often an unconscious emphasis on veterinary care offerings at the highest level. This is seen as a major barrier to getting underserved communities in the door—fear of judgment and embarrassment that such care is beyond their reach. During this chat, guests talk about the language around the Gold Standard and how the gaps can be bridged.
