The Research Committee (RC) is a Committee of the Assembly that functions in an advisory capacity to the AAVMC Board of Directors and the Assembly. The RC supports the AAVMC’s strategic goal to foster discovery to improve the health and wellbeing of people, animals and the environment (Strategic Plan Goal 5).
The Research Committee is comprised of the Associate and Assistant Deans for Research from each AAVMC Member, Collaborative, and Provisional Member; and the Director from each Affiliate Member institution. The leadership of the Research Committee consists of a chair, chair-elect, and past chair, with one-year terms in each position. Leadership transition occurs immediately following the Annual Conference.
