Massey ranks highly in the top vet schools in the world and was the first veterinary program in the southern hemisphere to gain American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) accreditation.

This means that in addition to our graduates being able to work in New Zealand, Australia, UK, South Africa, Singapore and Hong Kong they can also work in Canada and the USA. Our veterinary degree is a Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences (BVSc) which is recognized by the AVMA as being equivalent to a DVM from an accredited North American university. The major advantage of this to you is that it will allow you to work in the USA/Canada exactly as if you had graduated from a North American university.

We have four new upgraded on-campus clinics and hospitals (Companion, Equine, Farm Services & Wildlife) for our students to gain hands-on experience.

You can apply through VMCAS or direct through our Massey website (deadline 1 Nov 2023). It’s quick and easy to do. Find out more information and hear what makes studying and living in New Zealand so unique. We look forward to meeting you online.
