WASHINGTON, D.C., March 18, 2024 – The American Association of Veterinary Medical Colleges (AAVMC) is pleased to award the AAVMC Dr. Catherine A. Knupp scholarship for the second consecutive year. Two students will receive a one-time award of $25,000 to support their academic pursuits.
The 2024 recipients are Bonnie Dighero-Kemp (Oregon State University) and Samantha “Samm” Clark (Louisiana State University).
The award’s namesake is Catherine A. Knupp, DVM, MS, who led the Zoetis Veterinary Medical Research and Development organization for many years. This scholarship commemorates Dr. Knupp’s many contributions to scientific innovation as a veterinary scientist and leader in human and animal health research and development.
In addition, AAVMC, with funding from The Zoetis Foundation, is pleased to award 200+ $7,000 scholarships to veterinary students enrolled in AAVMC member institutions. To view those awardees, click here.
