Our Condolences Upon the Passing of Former AAVMC President Dr. Jim Voss

The Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges (AAVMC) extends our sincere condolences to the Colorado State University veterinary medical community, the CSU College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM), and the family of former CSU CVM Dean Jim Voss upon his passing July 12.

Dr. Voss served as a past president of the AAVMC and members of the AAVMC community who knew and worked with him remember him fondly as a tireless advocate for veterinary medical education. We are deeply saddened by his loss and grieve with the many others who had the opportunity interact with him, both personally and professionally. We remember him with great warmth, respect, and thankfulness for the enduring legacy of his work, which will greatly benefit veterinary medical education for generations to come.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish to acknowledge Dr. Ross’ life by making a contribution can honor his memory and his family’s wishes by sending a donation to the Colorado State University Equine Reproduction Laboratory, payable to CSU Equine Reproduction Laboratory, to CVMBS Dean’s Office, 1601 Campus Delivery, Fort Collins, CO 80523-1601, Attn: Dr. Voss – ERL.

With warmest sympathy,
AAVMC President Deborah Kochevar
